Creating A Vector Image Light Bulb

Follow the link below to a tutorial outlining how to create a light bulb in Inkscape. Create the image and post it on your blog. (if you think the light bulb is too easy you could choose from more challenging tutorial at this site: http://speckyboy.com/2009/04/28/35-tutorials-to-create-amazing-vector-graphics-using-inkscape/ )

I have just finished creating the light bulb on inkscape.. although it looks very different to the real image i think it was a great first try.

Draw VS Paint

- Drawing programs create images composed of objects ( EG: squares, circles, shapes, ECT).

-The objects can have properties such as colour, line thickness. These objects can easily be edited.

- Drawing programs create vector files.

- Paint programs create images pixal by pixal.

- Paint imagers are very hard to edit. Must be edited pixal by pixal.

- Files paint create are called bitmapped files.

-Example of a drawing program : Word

- Example of a paint program : Inkscape

Mirrow-
Resolution-Refers to the sharpness and clarity of an image
Bmp-The BMP file format, sometimes called bitmap or DIB file format (for device-independent bitmap), is an image file format used to store bitmap digital images
Fps-Frame rate, or frame frequency, is the frequency (rate) at which an imaging device produces unique consecutive images called frames. The term applies equally well to computer graphics, video cameras, film cameras.
File extension-A filename extension is a suffix to the name of a computer file applied to indicate the encoding convention (file format) of its contents.
